Product Characteristics

Houxian® 5041K is an anionic waterborne hydroxyacrylic dispersion. This product is free of APEO and can be used in fields such as rail transit, construction machinery and metal anti-corrosion. It can be formulated with amino resins or blocked isocyanates to prepare one-component waterborne baking coatings, and can also react with isocyanate curing agents or other crosslinking agents to prepare two-component waterborne polyurethane coatings. It has the following characteristics:

1. High gloss and high build
2. Excellent orientation effect of aluminum powder
3. Good resistance
4. Outstanding adhesion to multiple substrates, such as magnesium-aluminum alloy and stainless steel, with good adhesion even after 3 times of recoating

Storage

This product should be stored in a dark, cool and dry place at a temperature of 5–35℃ with the packaging kept intact. The shelf life of this product is 6 months from the date of production. For products beyond the shelf life, performance evaluation is recommended prior to use. This product must be strictly protected from frost or direct sunlight. After opening the packaging, appropriate filtration is recommended before use, and the product should be used up as soon as possible.

Precautions for Use

1. The viscosity of this product is mainly affected by pH value. During storage, the pH value may decrease, and the product viscosity will decrease accordingly. Its viscosity can be adjusted back to the initial value by adding a small amount of 10% aqueous N,N-dimethylethanolamine solution.
2. Stir thoroughly before use and seal tightly after use. Do not mix with cationic substances or inks.
3. This product has a fast drying speed and is not recommended to be exposed to air for a long time before use.
