Product Characteristics

Houxian® EP420 is a non-ionic aqueous dispersion based on solid bisphenol A epoxy resin modified by solid epoxy. This resin has a low solvent content, and the waterborne coatings formulated with it exhibit the excellent properties of traditional epoxy resin coatings, while featuring lower VOC and lower hazardous air pollutants (HAPs). When combined with amine curing agents, it can be used to prepare two-component waterborne epoxy coatings for substrates such as metals and concrete. This product has the following characteristics:

2. Excellent adhesion
3. Fast drying, recoatable quickly, and low odor
4. Excellent chemical resistance and salt spray resistance

Storage

This product should be stored in a dark, cool and dry place at a temperature of 5–35℃ with the packaging kept intact. The shelf life of this product is 6 months from the date of production. For products beyond the shelf life, performance evaluation is recommended prior to use. This product must be strictly protected from frost or direct sunlight. After opening the packaging, appropriate filtration is recommended before use, and the product should be used up as soon as possible.

Precautions for Use

1. Stir thoroughly before use and seal tightly after use. Do not mix with cationic substances or inks.
2. Due to its fast drying speed, prolonged exposure to air during use is not recommended.
