Product Features

Houxian® W1002 is a polyurethane-modified silicone resin suitable for sealer primers on wood substrates. It features ultra-high solid content, low viscosity, fast surface drying, rapid hardness development, and high water resistance. As a sealer primer, it exhibits excellent filling properties, making it particularly suitable for the full sealing coating of deep-pore substrates. It effectively reduces the number of primer coats and resists post-coating collapse. It can be directly applied by brushing or wiping, or diluted with alcohol solvents for spray application, with high application solid content and good film build.

Storage

This product should be stored in a dark, cool and dry place at a temperature of 5–35℃ with the packaging kept intact. The shelf life of this product is 6 months from the date of production. For products beyond the shelf life, performance evaluation is recommended prior to use. This product must be strictly protected from frost and direct sunlight. After opening the packaging, appropriate filtration is recommended before use, and the product should be used up as soon as possible.

Precautions for Use

1. Avoid water ingress or moisture exposure during storage and paint formulation. This silicone resin will react with water to cause thickening or gelation. Prolonged open storage in the air will lead to irreversible surface gelation and skinning.
2. Water-containing powders will cause gelation during paint formulation and storage. If addition is necessary, select anhydrous powders and conduct sufficient tests in the laboratory.
3. Slow-drying alcohol ether solvents (BCS, DPM, DPNB, etc.) will significantly prolong the surface drying and hard drying time of the paint film. Sufficient tests are required before addition. Ethanol or PMA and other solvents are generally recommended as thinners.
